Fake Review Checker
Fake Review Checker
Select the review patterns you can see on a listing before you trust its star rating. It guides your own judgement; it cannot prove a review is fake.
Mixed authenticity signals
Some signals look authentic; others raise yellow flags. Read the most recent verified-purchase reviews before buying.
A rough guide based on the signals you select. It is not a finding about any seller or brand.
About the Fake Review Checker
- What it checks
- Patterns you can spot by reading a listing: bursts of reviews, repeated wording, the volume of reviews, the seller’s history, price swings and when the reviews were posted.
- How it works
- You choose the option that best matches what you see for each pattern. The checker combines your answers into a single percentage and lists the signals behind it.
- What the result means
- A low figure means several warning signs are present together, which is a reason to cross-check the product on another site before trusting the star rating.
- What it does not mean
- It does not read the reviews itself and cannot prove that any review is fake. Regulators say it is often impossible to tell for certain from the outside.
