Corrections Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

We want our articles to be accurate, and we would rather fix a mistake openly than leave it standing. This is how corrections work.

How to report an error

Use the contact form and choose “Editorial correction”. Please include the address of the article, the statement you believe is wrong and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information. Anyone can report an error, including the companies we write about.

What we do next

  1. We check the claim against the original source and any evidence you send.
  2. If we got a fact wrong, we correct the article as soon as we reasonably can.
  3. For a significant error, we add a dated note to the article saying what was changed.
  4. Small fixes, such as spelling, formatting or a broken link, are made without a note.

Corrections and updates are different

A correction fixes something that was wrong when we published it. An update reflects something that changed afterwards, such as a new product version, a recall or a change in price range. Updated articles show the date they were last revised.

Disagreements about opinion

Our verdicts and ratings are opinions based on the evidence. If you disagree with a conclusion but the facts are right, we may not change the article. Companies are welcome to put their side through the company response process, and we may publish their statement alongside our coverage.

Removing articles

We do not remove accurate articles on request. If an article is found to be substantially wrong, we will correct it prominently or withdraw it and say why.
